Bolonsky Adam
Some open-ocean rowing shell friends (and me in a kayak) are thinking of making our way out to Bangs Island off Maine to camp this weekend. If you're interested in joining us, post here or send me an email at adambolonsky@yahoo.com Winter gear, food, drinking water, tent, etc. These shells are amazingly seaworthy and FAST boats with an easy cruising speed of 6 knots. And in roughwater in the hands of an able rower they are steady and nimble and stay upright just fine. The shells also have hatches fore and aft for lots of gear storage --- and because of the way their rowers sit, you can talk face-to-face with rower whose wake you're drafting on. Cool!
