sings_evil_twin
No big waves this weekend. Sing's better half (not the "darksider") will launch from the Morrisey Blvd boat ramp at 9 AM and head out towards the Quincy side of Thompson and then loop around Spectacle Island towards City Point. Low tide is at 12:49 PM. Getting to the second outlet of Pleasure Bay around 11 AM or so, there should be an outgoing current to play ferrying, eddying and maybe small standing wave surfing. Quick lunch snack at City Point and back to the Morrisey launch by 2 PM.Winds are projected to be south westerly, around 15 knots. Means an easier backside wind going out and a headwind coming back. Standard SNG caveate -- If you show, be ready to take care of yourself, know your self and assisted rescues, and dress for immersion. This is a leaderLESS trip. The mile crossing from the islands to City Point usually has some chops involved when winds are in the 15 knots and up range. The plus side is that there shouldn't be many power boats out there, if any.sing
