We finally connected with a campground that was open and had sites available - we made reservations at Lake Pemaquid Camping arriving July 1 - departing July 6

This campground will provide easy access to Muscongus Bay and a 45 minute drive to Boothbay Harbor - also allows for a trip to Muscle Ridge in South Thomaston if we want to paddle there.

The first couple of campgrounds we contacted with were already booked for the July 4th weekend!

www.campmaine.com is a good resource for locating campgrounds in Maine - go to the MidCoast region.
