djlewis
Circumnavigate Plum Island clockwise from the north end, launching fairly early to time the tides and currents. Distance is around 18 nm with significant tail current in places. It's level 3+ for distance and current, and possible wind, swell and surf. Greenheads, however, should be mostly gone. Private Trip (SnG) rules apply -- everybody responsible for their own safety and decisions. Post interest here or by e-mail to -- djlewis at triadic dotty commie. Details to follow. --David. JRRousseau
Sigh. I was going to try and talk you into doing Chatham on Thursday. I'm doing either Pleasant Bay down to the breach by the lighthouse or stage harbor down past north Monomoy. The tides are looking better for the Pleasant Bay route for the early launch I want to do. I'll be down in Dennis through Sunday if anyone is going to be putting together a paddle on the cape. Oh well, enjoy! -John CD Solstice GTS (red)

djlewis
The weather may be cooperating remarkably well -- W winds around 5 kt...becoming S around noon...then increasing to 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt late. Seas 1 to 2 ft...building to 2 to 4 ft in the afternoon. If this holds, we'll have essentially no wind and minimal swell on the outside, and then a boost from the wind returning up the Sound. --David.
