Kevin B (RPS Coach)
Ok, I'll make this short. Rob, Deb, Bob, Jason, Joe and I (to be joined by Ross later on) left Conomo around 4:30pm on the outgoing tide looking for surf. Did we find it? Yes! Although some were hard to come by, we had 2-3 footers at times. A great time of bracing practice, surfing practice (forward, backwards and sideways ) as well as some rolling. Great time and great to see people out on a weekday SNG!
shewhorn
I'm bummed we had to go in. I was a bit timid at first but gradually weazled my way into the white stuff and instantly started having fun. I wished I'd have warmed up to it a bit faster. Thanks to Deb for the tips! I'm surprised I didn't do any upside down boating today. I came pretty close and the fact that I didn't is probably some strange form of beginners luck. I think Kevin witnessed both that blunder and the most likely confused look on my face as to why I wasn't upside down. Somebody please make the sun stay up longer!!! Cheers, Joe
Gillian
guys sounds like a blast and i'm sorry i missed it! kevin gave me all the details and it sounds like you all found some really fun conditions!!! can't wait to catch up with you guys this weeekend Oh!!! And Kevin, congrats on rolling with no plugs (the nose kind not the hair kind)!!. . . if only I hadn't already done that before you last week. Don't feel bad that I am a superior paddler while still modest and humble.
