jeffcasey
Bill and Walter called a show & go, and a bunch of us showed up and went. Eight went out and ten came back (where DO we learn our math, anyhow?). Homebase was Lane's cove, rounded Halibut point and made a bee-line for ice cream at Rockport. Tried to find swells to play in, but it was really too nice a day. Roger was the hero, riding a rogue up to a perfect high & dry seal landing. One unfortunate mashed against some barnacles, gouging his hull and also damaging his boat a bit - and bled like a stuck pig all the way back to the put in, adding a high ikky factor to the sight of his cockpit at the take-out (by all reports he is fine, the injury being far more minor than it appeared). Thanks to Bill and Walter for organizing. Great day.
alcoons
Glad it went well. How hot was it on the water? Last time I paddled that area in the same conditions it was unbearable without a wind? Al
jeffcasey
light WSW breeze (5-10 kt). the breeze was hot when it was coming off the land, but once westward of Halibut point, it was coming across the water and was much nicer. not enough to work against, just enough to cool you off. again, a nice day.
