sings_evil_twin
ten of us caught some surf from Cindy's remnants yesterday. Messy in the morning and got cleaner after lunch when the winds became more offshore when Cindy headed further into the Gulf of ME. Some NSPN regulars came out to ride the waves with us and may be seen in the video (hence the post here). I have to specifically mentioned Werner who came out on the outer break with us and was whooping it up. I couldn't get over how big his grin got after each ride. Not surprisingly, his rides got better and better too. 4 minutes of video... way to much for my dial up connection at home. I'll have to wait to see at work. www.strazkayaks.com/video/Ogunquit_7_09_05.wmv sing

sings_evil_twin
Hey, Sean! Been awhile. I think the last time I was out with you (and Kevin) was at Westport last summer. Went to the Deerfield last week end for the first time this year. Release was pretty high at 1000 CFC. I got by the first drop at the Gap, tried to sneak around the second drop, caught an edge, went over, rolled up and went through the rest of the way backwards. I thought of the pic of you going "submarine" on the second drop. sing
wernermaas
Although I'm still sore from it, especially in the grin muscles, the surfing was an absolute blast. Adds a whole new meaning to the word addictive! Thanks for taking me out there and for all the pointers. Even though I am still deperately looking for the 'pocket', I'm having a blast trying to find it. Let's hope for some more waves soon, Werner
