Rob Hazard
Walter, Kevin, and I had a quiet but pleasant paddle out of Conomo Pt this morning. We rode the tail end of the ebb tide out to Crane Beach, landed through small surf for a stretch, then took a tour of the north end of Essex Bay, up into Fox Creek. We snaked our way back against the rising tide for a lunch of roast beef sandwiches (Thanks, Walter!) before heading off to work. Along the way we spotted lots of Great Egrets, Brant, and Willets, as well as a few Turkey Vultures and a couple Oldsquaws. Sure beats workin!
