I'll be at Great Pond, Kingston, NH again this Wednesday around 5:00-5:30 p.m. Last week we had 3 paddlers and had a good time and perfect weather. Come on out and join us! Warm water, easy put-in.

The session will be "free play" or whatever the group wants to work on.

Great Pond is about 20 minutes east of Salem; 20 minutes north of Haverhill, MA; 30 minutes SW of Portsmouth; 25 minutes from Seabrook; 15-20 minutes from Exeter/Stratham; 15 minutes from Epping.

The put-in will be at the boat ramp on Main St., right off Rte 111 and the Rte 125 intersection. There is a sign for the Lakeside Restaurant at the corner of Rte 111 and Main St. The put-in is just past the restaurant on the left. There is ample parking for about 10 cars in the lot and lots more across the roadside.

I'm going to try to make it over there... the water is at least a few degrees cooler than the air! Definitely a day for wet work. Anyone else?

I should be there if I can manage to carry and strap down the boat to the cartop without passing out from heat exaustion. Should be a good day for lots of stupid kayak tricks and swimming.

No can do. Ask too many that is. Besides, if you didn't know it before, here is a little secret. All truly good paddlers cannot help themselves. They just love to demo and teach stuff and will find every opportunity to do so. Take advantage of this personality quirk as there will be some truly good paddlers about.

Just looking at the weather. There is a chance of a thunderstorm, but if we do get one it will be brief. The beauty of the skills session is we can always escape to the car for a bit while it passes.
