eneumeier Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 This tradition, going back to before the club was actually organized, involves paddling to Misery Island to work off some calories. Groups form at different launch sites such as Manchester Harbor, Tucks Point in Manchester, Lynch Park in Beverly or Riverside beach in Marblehead harbor. We meet on Misery at 1:00 PM and share leftovers from the Thanksgiving feast. How long we hang out is weather dependent. Cold water paddling gear, especially protective clothing for hanging out on land and tarps/shelters are a must. See the Private Trips board for what people are up to this year. Check the weather before launching. It does seem to be improving a bit: http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/AN/250.html Liz N. Quote
