Dan Foster
The National Weather Service is considering adding a new Wave Detail line to their marine forecasts, which will indicate the primary and secondary swell height, period, and direction: Old: TONIGHT...NE winds around 10 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt this evening.Seas 3 to 4 ft. New: TONIGHT...NE winds around 10 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt this evening.Seas 3 to 4 ft. Wave Detail: E 3 ft at 7 seconds and E 2 ft at11 seconds. They've got a feedback form if anyone wants to chime in. Seems like a useful addition to the paddling forecast! Joseph Berkovitz
Useful addition - though hard to tell if they will integrate it into the regular marine FC web pages if approved.
