Chris Hipgrave and 6 weeks in the Antarctic at NK&C Oct 9

Recommended Posts

P&H’s Chris Hipgrave is an adventurer through and through, “Fueled by a passion for all things paddle-sports, I’ve competed through out the World in a wide variety of disciplines and explored from the snow capped Bhutanese Himalayas, to South America, Europe, Asia, Australasia and the Antarctic Peninsula.”

In 2016, Chris was hired as an Antarctic kayak guide for a six week exploration of the Southern Ocean aboard the Polar Pioneer, an ice-strengthened research vessel that had been refurbished and converted into a passenger ship.  His trip took him through the Falklands Island, South Georgia (made famous by Shackleton’s harrowing story of survival), Elephant Island, South Shetland Islands, the Antarctic Peninsula and the ports of Ushuaia and Puerto Williams.

Chris will be bringing his stories, his sense of adventure, and the slide presentation from 6 weeks of Antarctic exploration, to Newbury Kayak and Canoe for an evening of armchair adventure like none before!

Snacks and drinks provided.

What about the Mexican restaurant on Rte 1 in Rowley, El Tapatio or something...  i would prefer something on the Boston rather than NH side of Newbury would be appreciated.  Long drive as it is!

Don't know El Tapatio.  There's En Fuego in Ipswich on 1A north of town.  It's quite awful.
