SeaKayakNE Posted August 7, 2017 Share Posted August 7, 2017 I'm in the midst of redoing all of our boats outfitting and notice a few people on the board mainly in NDK boats use a foam back rest. David MC Posted August 10, 2017 Share Posted August 10, 2017 Did you find a good source to buy foam? I'm looking. I have a Wilderness Tempest 165 (PVC). I like the adjustable backrest on this model because it's quite low, but I want to create a wedge insert to put in the void behind the seat. NPearson Posted April 10, 2018 Share Posted April 10, 2018 My Romany has the standard glass seat with padded back rest - Its fine but I find that it does pinch me on the bum sometimes. My new Explorer has one of these:- https://www.kiwimultisport.co.nz/product/bumfortable-kayak-seat which is the most comfortable and supporting seat I've ever had in a kayak.
