  1. I'd love to come. I'm not familiar with any of the places (yet) so whatever everyone else decides is good with me. Janice
  2. Count me in. I really enjoyed the solstice paddle and can't wait to get in the water again! Janice
  3. Hi, Im still trying to figure out how to post correctly so I hope this works. I'm looking forward to coming to the L2 paddle. Thanks for organizing it. This will be my first trip. Janice
  4. Thanks for your advice, that is what I needed to hear. I was a little anxious to go out for the first time without having practiced some of the safety skills. I will wait to go out until after I've been to some of the Lake practice sessions (maybe it will clear up today!). I keep telling myself that summer hasn't really started yet so there is time. I do know it is not fair to put other paddlers at risk by my own inexperience, that is also why I thought I'd ask. This sounds like a great trip - have a great time and I'll see everyone on the water after I've practiced some. Janice
  5. I'm not sure if I should come as I recently joined and I have only kayaked on lakes (though I'm very comfortable on a kayak). I recently bought a 14 foot Necky Manitou with a keel and have been out on it twice - once the Shaween, once in a pond. I did go to the new to sea kayaking workshop and I have a skirt, paddle float, etc. I wanted to go to the practice sessions on Walden Pond after work first but the rain has put that off twice so I have not rolled or practiced taking a skirt on and off. Do you think this would be a good first trip? I think I'm supposed to ask your permission to come as the trip leader. What do you recommend? The "easy paddle around a marsh with bird books" made me think it would be a good first trip. I don't know what 6-11 miles on the ocean means as I have no experience with that! Let me know. Thanks, Janice
  6. I would love to come. I've kayaked in fresh water, never in salt water and I went to the workshop for ""new to sea kayaking". This is my first post!
