  1. As you must be aware of,any comments I post have to be reviewed upon your request. I am sorry you feel rejected because I don't want to camp out with you. But I wish to end our contacts. Always Ken
  2. Listen- I am new to this blog and have read the same lame stuff from the same people. By request for actual paddleing in the ocean ( not a swimming pool, not in a barn in Topsfield) I have invited anyone to paddle whom lives on the North Shore of MA. The only response was a guy that want's to take me camping up in Maine! i have no desire to continue with this computer blog. I only hoped to stir up some excitement for this sport! I don't have to prove myself. I know i am the only one out in the ocean 3-4 days a week. I have live in the Pacific North- West and have paddled with people that put me to shame. I have also learned that if i asked for the next wine & cheese social or pool trip, i would be shunned. As stated from the very start, I am looking for people whom paddle the North Shore of Ma. whom want to let loose with the safety of a small group
  3. I am sure you are not an old fart. I think you are being hard on yourself. You ( I don't know what you mean by we) You could keep up with me. Lesson # 1- Throw away your books, especially the Eskimo ones # 2- Put on your drysuit and safety- equip. Drive your kayak to the beach # 3- Paddle, Paddle, Paddle. Stay close to the beach if you feal distraught. # 4- Most important- Forget about posing for a camera ( There won't be any) Forget about any swimming pools, the chlorine is bad for neoprene. Just enjoy I hope this helps- It's all mental preperation on paddleing for yourself and not how to impress upon others
  4. I am all up for paddleing next weekend, but camping out with a guy is not my thing ( especially on the first date0 Let's meet at the newburyport jetty at let's say 8 a.m..You ca always try your new camping gear out in my backyard. I will be camping in, with a woman friend. It helps me paddle better the next day
  5. Hi Tom- Some of the best paddlers are in their prime years. If you ever want to get out for a short weekday paddle, give me a shout. I tend to stay close to shore when the water temps. are low. Ken
  6. Before I get kicked out of this "organization" Does anyone want to actually paddle in the ocean NOW, without any restrictions? It's supposed to be fun, not an elderly A.M.C. meet and greet! (Why would anyone pay to kayak in a swimming pool?)
  7. please see Blue Kayak Works website . I think this will resolve what you are looking for. I have purchased 2 on line. They work great but take alot patience to install. 60 seconds to desperse a sea-kayak!
  8. Once again, I appologize. The response to another reader, I believed was not to be brodcasted to other viewers. I now know that other's can view any, one on one conversations. As regards to my typo. error. I only tried to make humor on the reply. The person I replyed to was clearly upset that I spelled his boat wrong by a vowel. If you read the text, I give praise to the AnAs- Acuta.I believe the only thing you could find offensive would be my title of the noun in question. As i have already stated, I will refrain from r-rated conversations, to that of rated- G as to retain this site as family friendly. I admire your heros whom stepped in as well, but a simple mistake is a simple mistake. Let's spend are frustrated energy on hard paddleing!
