  1. Phil & I are in. Happy to join this group and/or assist on any of the other levels as needed. We are also in for the potluck and will bring something good to eat-category/food tbd. Let us know if there is a specific category light on offerings! Looking forward to it!
  2. @prudencebwell it certainly would be unfortunate if this is the first time it is moved given our new location!!! 😘
  3. We hope it is at Riverhead, too!

Phil and I are in! Parking reserved, too!
  5. Thanks for sharing your journey with us, Pru! Envious of your amazing trip!
  6. The zipper on the Idol is still a work in progress... The overall fit of the suit is more comfortable, and I like being able to put on the top at the last minute and take it off quickly on warmer days. As Suz indicated, it takes some fidgeting to figure out how to line up the zipper, and it needs to be tightened all the way down. Once I figured out both of these things, I've stayed dry. But I learned the hard way and got wet a couple time first...
  7. I am very proud of both of you! And I still want to be President of the Pru and Cathy for 5* Club!
  8. Gene was one of the first people Phil and I met when we joined NSPN. He was always welcoming and kind to us. I'll miss his sharp wit and outspoken nature. RIP.
  9. Karen, I agree you really need to try it on to make sure it fits. Like David, I am a fan of the Sweet Strutter Helmet. It fits me better than any of the other I tried while also providing the best protection...
  10. Phil mentioned seeing or hearing about this article recently, so he may know the source. I prefer the "position of greatest usefulness" philosophy. In general, I prefer to lead from the side or moving back and forth within the group. That being said, there are times when as the leader, you might need to take the lead at the front-to check out a potential hazard, etc... But often it's much easier to see and keep track of the group from the side or even the rear...
  11. Highly recommend doing it with Todd Wright and Carl Ladd if they have one planned. Not sure how others structure, but they typically set up so there's a day of assessing your personal skills, and then the rest of the assessment is teaching practice students (as opposed to your peers/other candidates.). I really like this method since it makes it more authentic.
  12. Congrats! I am so happy for both of you, and Tim Gleason, too. I know how hard you worked to get to this.
