  1. I leash on open water and thats about it....but my leash attaches to my pfd...that way the paddle stays with me where ever i go..... I use the older NDK leashes that have the quick release 1/2" cam buckle to got o my lashtab....plus there is a knife present too.... -r
  2. here is a thread i started on the West Coast Paddler forum. http://www.westcoastpaddler.com/community/...?f=1&t=3747 My fiancee (will then be wife) and i are going to Vancouver for our honeymoon in October....I asked the guys who know out there for some advice...got some good responses. Ernie: did you call Joel about that back for your seat? saw it there the other day again.
  3. this anyone here? http://goodmorninggloucester.wordpress.com...r-and-rockport/
  4. Bob: can i claim the womens rashie? i am in bev too... corgimas @ gmail com
  5. oof....looks like a fun paddle....but that is the exact reason why i have my pvc tubes!!!! easy to put back away...also the tubes work very well to hold the spare in place in a wave slap to the deck nice day for a bumpy paddle!
  6. rob you left out "dodging Mosquitos"
  7. looked like a great day for a great trip........... rob (the guy in the white truck)
  8. hey...they are a blast!!!! we got a pair for flatwater...no surfing on them for us (rather be in a kayak anyhow)..... we specifically got a pair of rotomolded plastic ones made by Imagine surfboards in Canada.....did not want to deal with epoxy boards.......... awesome workout too (especially for guys - apparently our balance is not as good as womens)
  9. Stand Up Paddleboard (big long surfboard shaped thing with a 6+' long paddle.....a new trend catching on....a few people have expressed interest in trying it out and since i live around the corner from Chebacco and paddle there thought it would be good to pass along the fun.... http://vimeo.com/8700963 good stuff.......another great way to get out on the water.... rob
  10. If anyone would like to try out a SUP board at one of the Chebacco sessions just drop me a note and i can bring one..... rob
  11. I put in 9" of foam since i have a 28" inseam as well....the first and the last pieces are solid....in between those layers are chunks of foam....cheaper that way.... there was no option of a custom bulkhead in a wildy tempest.....still isn't..... the closest piece to me is angled away at the top..i took a shurform to it...much more comfortable that way since my toes are then more natural.... as you can see i left the rails for the foot pegs in....i have the pegs in storage if needed and nothing is glued in or permanent so it can be easily removed if needed/wanted... i did pop a hole in the top of the first piece of foam to stuff my pump up there....
  12. an old instructor of mine was known for carrying his spare paddle inside the rear hatch when the boat was mostly empty....that way the deck was completely clear...his reasoning was also that he never went out without a second person - or more - and that person would be able to help get him the spare if needed...(also that he was good enough that he would never end up out of his boat) that is not my choice though!!! Lendal offers a 4 piece breakdown spare paddle for white water boats in a dry bag....would be interesting to see in person...
  13. more pictures of the deck http://picasaweb.google.com/corgimas/Kayak...303968255206034
  14. up front in drain waste tubes....easy to grab as needed...and easy to put back away when done..... rob
  15. weird.......ah well.... here it is again: http://www.theclymb.com/invite-from/RobB thanks for the hint it did not work!!!!!!!
