  1. I will be working on a Datacenter migration and won't be able to attend.
  2. I have a number of links to white water groups in my home page: https://kates.org/ Welcome to New England. If you start Ocean kayaking this is a great group to join.
  3. This one with the ladder is cool: http://www.aluminess.com/ford/transit-van/roof-rack/
  4. I would like a black hydration pack (not black and red).
  5. We need Suz to let us know the publicly available inside info. I think that I heard that if we can get enough ordered they will make a special run. I don't recall if the number was 10, 25 or other. But with a big enough order I think that we can pick a material and color (I think that they all have to be the same color) they will make them.
  6. Congratulations on the new transport. If you went with this one: http://www.ford.com/trucks/transitvanwagon/trim/wagonxlt/ you might be able to go with just padded bars with a ~10' spacing, putting the boats upside down on the hatch covers.
  7. Have you talked with John to see if some could be included with the next container of boats that's shipped over? It might save on the shipping and bring the costs to be more reasonable?
  8. Three very strong kayakers, I am glad that they days went as they should have as they deserve the stars. Congratulations!
  9. I have a large chart of the local waters hanging in my office. I am thinking of adding a 2nd one.
  10. I had to give up 1.5" on my current boat. Carl moved Julie's front bulkhead back about a foot and make for a lot more usable dry space in her boat.
  11. It sounds like it's time to get rid of the foot pegs and foam out the bulkhead.
  12. I was told that the epic might not be the best fit for me as the seat pans tend to be narrow. My inseam is 36". I was told that Fenn might have a boat that would have a more appropriate seat pan. My friend is going to talk with her friend in NY who paddles a Fenn and is almost my size as to what boats I should try.
  13. That paddle is on my bucket list. Having a support boat is really smart as it makes things much safer. I am glad you were able to achieve that goal!
  14. The website isn't too well setup. http://www.onnopaddles.com/copy-of-sup-canoe
  15. Just make sure you don't pay for the full paddle upfront... http://www.surfski.info/forum/1-general/18374-did-onno-paddles-steal-my-money.html http://www.paddling.net/Reviews/showReviews.html?prod=646
  16. I won't be assimilated but I could use something to make paddling around the house more interesting as I won't get ever get any of the swell by my house. The current is good at times but it's aways fairly flat. I will have to keep my eyes out for a used one. That and possibly a large wing paddle.
  17. Anybody make a 20+ Foot beginners ski that accepts people with long legs?
  18. I built one of these and it works well. I plan on building a 2nd one for Julie as I now have the parts for the 2nd one.
  19. Has anybody played with one of these: https://www.motionizeme.com/motionize-paddle-edge/
  20. Even in white water people are moving away from being locked into the boat to where they can't rotate.
  21. We watched a guy drag a yellow over white boat with a hull that looked like a lot like that boat the full length of Popham beach today. I couldn't figure out why he didn't just paddle it or drag it though the water the length of the beach.
  22. Just be careful about adding too much foam, it prevents rotation.
  23. It should have been 8/29/2008 when we did that leg of the paddle. I bet that someone on the forum can lookup the data for the day. :-) The flow was at least 3 knots moving north. It was like riding a fast escalator/moving walkway. It was a gorgeous bright blue day with flat seas. They use large round balls (think large mooring balls) in place of lobster buoys and they were being submerged by the current.
