This event repeats every week on Thursday for 14 occurrences

Come join us at Chebacco Lake in Hamilton on Thursdays at 5pm until sunset though the summer. Practice strokes, rolls, rescues, falling out of your boat, or just watching kingfishers.  Dress for immersion.  A wetsuit is warm enough in early season, and keeps down the bruises from climbing back into your boat ten times a night.
We meet at the boat ramp at the south end of the lake, and hang out in the cove to the left of the ramp. You can either get off 128 at Pine st (exit 16) and head north on the dirt road, or find Chebacco road off Rt 22 in Essex and avoid the dirt. No entrance fees. No rangers to kick us out at the end of the evening, but the mosquitoes do the job just fine.

NOTE: This is a general description for all Wednesday Lunch Paddles. Information/registration for each week’s paddle is posted on the Trips Forum.
This series of paddles takes place on (surprise!) Wednesdays, and provides a regular midweek opportunity to get on the water. Most of the launches will be in the Salem Sound area, but we'll occasionally branch out to other spots in the vicinity.
Here is a description of a typical Wednesday Lunch paddle:
Meet at launch at 10:00. Beach Briefing at 10:20. On the water and paddling at 10:30am. 1-1.5 hours of paddling to some location 1 hour of food, conversation, and relaxation (a/k/a LUNCH!) 1-1.5 hours of paddling to return to launch Return around 3:00. These paddles are appropriate for independent paddlers with ocean paddling experience.  The Wednesday paddles are cooperative adventures, not guided trips. Each participant is responsible for her/his own safety. Don’t assume the trip initiators are smarter, stronger, better at rough water, more attractive, or more skilled paddlers than you are. For more information, see this description of our trip philosophy from the NSPN web site.
Typically on the Monday before the trip, we will post specific information about the trip on the Trips Forum.  The post's message thread can be used for RSVPs and other questions concerning the specific trip.
If you haven’t paddled with one of us before, please get in touch with one us via private message before signing up. Before departing for the launch location, please consult your favorite sources to determine wind, tide, and sea conditions, so you are aware of the trip environment for that day.
Each week's venue will be selected taking expected conditions into account. In general, the trip will only be canceled for extreme conditions and thunderstorms.
We look forward to you joining us for an enjoyable day of paddling and picnicing! Please private message us with any questions you may have.
Your faithful trip organizers,
Joe  Berkovitz
Bob Levine (@rylevine).

Join us for a glorious fall weekend at Squam Lake in Holderness, NH, launching at 10AM from Squam Lakes Association in Piper Cove at 10AM on Friday, September 25th, and returning to the cars after lunch on Sunday, September 27th. Our group base camp will be on beautiful Moon Island (approximately 2 miles from the Piper Cove put-in).  There are numerous coves and islands to explore on daily paddles, as well as the option of for short hike up one or both of the Rattlesnake Mountains (fabulous views, and hopefully peak foliage) or a longer hike to the Red Hill firetower. We typically have a gourmet pot-luck feast on Friday night, with plenty of leftovers for Saturday. If skies are clear, the moon will be 80% full and rising early enough for night paddling.
Our group is limited by space to 10 tents, which need to fit onto the three large wooden camping platforms at the site. $40 reserves your spot on this trip - contact me and RSVP here when you're ready to commit. If we get 10 campers, your cost will be closer to $25, and excess funds will be returned on Moon once we've paid for firewood. This trip needs a minimum of 6 campers to RSVP by August 1st in order to run, or it will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.

Trip policies:
You are not confirmed on the trip until I receive your $40 deposit, by check or PayPal to [email protected]
You will receive a full refund if fewer than six people sign up by August 1st, and the entire trip is cancelled.
You will receive an excess funds reimbursement on Moon Island if you actually show up on the trip and excess funds have been collected.
I will not be managing a waiting list for this trip, or facilitating transactions between club members. The first 10 people to pay the deposit are on the trip. If you didn't get on the trip and would like to go, post your intentions on the forum. There are almost always drop-outs and cancellations. If you ARE on the trip but can no longer attend, you can sell your spot on the trip to anyone within the club - just let me know so I can add them to the trip roster.

See you at Squam!
Dan
