chetpk
I have a couple bigger gel coat repairs to do. I've done small areas in the past applying it with a brush, but didn't know if anyone has used one of those aerisol sray units you can buy that run on a small pressurized can. Will it (does it) work and are they capapble of spraying Gel Coat or are they only good for something thinner like paint? Thanks. ~Scott
spuglisi
Scott, I've seen the aerosol sprayers used for gel coat at Lincoln canoe and kayak. They thinned it with either acetone or MEK I can't remember which but it did a great job.
PeterB
Scott, Cathy Foley has experience with exactly the gel coat method you are interested in. I suggest you contact her. She did some work on a kayak if mine , and did a great job.
