  1. Hi Rick, I just sent you a new invoice via email. There should be a link you can click on to renew. Hopefully that works for you. If not, let me know and we'll figure out what the issue is. Chris
  2. I'm so sorry to hear this. My condolences go out to Deb and their family.
  3. Someone emailed me this question about kayaking from Hull to Peddocks. Since I'm not too familiar with the area, I thought I'd post the question here. Anyone have any advice? Were planning to overnight camp on Peddocks Island and kayak from Hull to Peddocks with our sea kayaks this Thursday. Were experienced but wanted to know how best to do this. Ive been told to cross ½ hour before slack tide when the current will be the least; then I was told by the EMT people thats when theyve had the most capsized kayaks in the Hull Gut. Obviously wind and tides are the most important. Winds will likely be NNE 5-10 and low tide is at 12:23pm (High tide at 6:34am). Do you have any experience with this and can proffer advice? Or can refer me to someone who does?
  4. Sorry about that Liz. I marked you as paid. More bugs to work out with the new software...
  5. Have fun guys! Sorry I can't make it this year. I'll be finishing installing cabinets in my kitchen this weekend. Take lots of pictures so I can live vicariously through your trip reports!
  6. Hope to have the house renovations done (enough) to go...
  7. Just got the go ahead from my boss. I'll send my info shortly - looking forward to it!
  8. Let us know how it went. Was condensation an issue with the plastic bivy? I've often thought of bivying out on the ledges by the water, but then retreat to my comfy tent...
  9. Hi Kevin, Sorry about the delay. Your stickers will be mailed shortly. I tried to email you, but it wouldn't go through. Can you email me at chris@nspn.org (then I'll just reply to that). Thanks, Chris
  10. Just a reminder that the last day to submit your bid is tomorrow.
  11. Thanks for the recipes! Both tasted really good at the camping workshop. You guys might just get me cooking - instead of boiling water and adding it to the freeze dried stuff while camping.
  12. My girlfriend and I will be there.
  13. The organizers of the upcoming Rough Water Symposium that is happening June 11-13th in RI has made available one discounted spot that we will be auctioning off to benefit MITA (Maine Island Trail Assoc.). Here's your chance to attend a great symposium at a discounted price and benefit MITA at the same time! The auction is open to NSPN paid members. Further info including auction instructions are posted in the NSPN Business Board (you need to be a paid NSPN member to see the board): http://www.nspn.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=6914
  14. Count me in too! I've been wanting to do this trip for the last few years, but couldn't get the time off. I'll send my info along shortly.
  15. Good news! I've heard a lot of good feedback on past workshops. This would be a good tie-in with Gary's Jewell Island trip. People interested in kayak camping could learn about kayak camping at the workshop and still have time to assemble the proper gear for the Jewell Island trip. There's plenty of island camping opportunities from Boston Harbor to Downeast Maine. Camping on the islands is ~usually~ less crowded (having an island to yourself is not uncommon) and ~usually~ cheaper. An individual membership with MITA will get you a years worth of camping on dozens of islands for less than the cost of one night at many mainland campgrounds if you take advantage of the discount offered to NSPN members.
