Three of us (Liz, Chris and I) launched out of Lane's Cove, Sunday evening at 5:00. Conditions were warm, with very flat calm seas. We headed southwest along the coast toward the Annisquam Light, mostly hugging the shore line as Chris weaved in and out of every rock that had water between it. Liz and I took the time to catch up on everything that has been happening to us, as we had not paddled together in a few years. Christopher noted he could not get a word in edgewise, but if you know Chris, he had plenty to say!
We followed the river up to the bridge at Goose Cove where the outgoing tide was rushing through the narrows under the bridge. Chris played in the fast moving current, practicing bow rudders and rolls. Liz and I looked on and continued our conversation..LOL.
We headed back, taking advantage of the outgoing tide and a bit of a breeze at our back. The return trip was far too fast and we pulled back into Lane's Cove with plenty of sunlight left on the horizon.
It was a beautiful evening paddle, nothing eventful but a great chance to reconnect with good friends. Thanks Chris and Liz for posting the invite.

Thank you, Cathy! We had fun on a peaceful ocean and enjoyed a beautiful evening.
Further to this particular little trip, what interest is there in some night paddling? I suggest an excursion sometime soon, before greenhead season. Maybe, also, when people are feeling stronger, another circumnav. of the Cape? Suggestions, anyone? I don't have moon phase tables in front of me...
